This Privacy Policy explains how RevizPro, developed by Laurent Lach (Switzerland), collects, uses, and protects your information.
By using the App, you agree to this policy.
2. Principles
RevizPro follows the principles of:
- Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP)
- EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (for EU users)
- Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) (for US users)
We strive to keep data collection minimal and transparent.
3. Data We Collect
3.1 Local Data (on your device)
- Learning progress (XP, streaks, achievements, lessons completed)
- User profile information (name, avatar, grade level)
- App preferences (language, theme, sound settings)
- Subscription or purchase status (locally cached receipt)
This data stays on your device unless you activate cloud features.
3.2 Cloud / Online Data (optional)
If you enable iCloud sync:
- User profile data synced via Apple CloudKit
- Learning progress synced across your devices
- We do not access your Apple account directly
3.3 Analytics (optional)
RevizPro uses Apple App Analytics (built into the App Store) to collect anonymized usage data:
- Session length and frequency
- Feature usage patterns
- Crash reports and performance metrics
This is standard App Store functionality and follows Apple's privacy guidelines.
4. No Sensitive Personal Data
We do not collect:
- Email addresses or physical addresses
- Contact lists or phone numbers
- Camera, microphone, or GPS data (except OCR feature which processes locally)
- Payment information (handled exclusively by Apple)
- Biometric data
5. Children's Privacy
5.1 Designed for Educational Use
RevizPro is designed for learners of all ages, including children under 13 (HarmoS 5H-8H students).
5.2 Parental Consent
- For users under 13 years old: Profiles must be created by a parent, guardian, or authorized adult.
- The parent/guardian is responsible for supervising the child's use.
- By creating a child profile, the adult confirms they have authority to consent on behalf of the child.
5.3 Data Minimization for Children
- Child profiles collect only essential learning progress data
- No personal identifiers are collected that can identify a child independently
- Child profiles cannot join external sessions without parent permission
5.4 Classroom Use and Shared Sessions
When RevizPro is used in an educational/school setting:
- The school or teacher acts as the data controller
- RevizPro acts as a data processor
- Schools are responsible for ensuring appropriate parental consent per their institutional policies
- Teacher-created profiles are subject to the school's data protection policies
Classroom Sessions (PeerSession): When a student joins a classroom session created by a teacher:
- Data shared includes: display name, level, progress, and practice statistics
- Data travels only over the local network (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth), never over the Internet
- Data is not stored by the host after the session ends
- Child profiles require explicit parental authorization to join sessions
- Parents can enable/disable this permission during profile creation
6. Data Storage and Retention
- Local data remains on your device until you delete the App or the profile.
- iCloud data (if enabled) is stored within your iCloud account under Apple's privacy policy.
- Analytics data (via Apple) is retained per Apple's standard policies (typically 12 months).
7. Your Rights
Under GDPR and Swiss FADP, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of any personal data we hold
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your data
- Portability: Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent: Disable iCloud sync or delete the App at any time
